The stove/gas cylinders in your kitchen, chimney/ furnace of your kitchen, electrical appliances, fuse board, pipes connecting your sink, and many more things could be a serious threat and a source of damage for your home. To minimize these dangers that exist within the four walls of your home, you are advised to follow a few suggestions.

Here are a few suggestions that will help you to safeguard your sweet home and yourself:

Safety from Fire:
Fire is a very common threat to your house. It can ignite from any of your electrical appliances, wiring in your house, chimney in your kitchen, or from the fireplace if any. To protect your home from fire danger, make sure that you have well-maintained and efficient smoke detectors on every floor of your home. Installing a smoke detector at every floor reduces the risks of fire spread.

Safety from Carbon Monoxide:
Carbon Monoxide is a toxic gas that may even lead to death if mixed with the blood. This poisonous gas is produced due to incomplete combustion of any hydrocarbon. This gas released from any fireplace, furnace, or any other heat source poses a silent threat to your life.

To regulate the level of Carbon Monoxide, make sure that your house is installed with CO detectors as well. These detectors must be installed on every floor of your home. Keep a check on the batteries of these detectors and change them at a regular interval of time.

Safety from Water danger:
People may not notice things hidden behind the walls, like leaking pipes. Leaking pipes may not appear much harmful on the surface but it may land you in danger. You should know how to regulate the water level. You should install water monitoring alarms in the basement to keep a check on the rising water level even if you are away at work.

Theft:
This is a very usual risk to your house. To save your home from thieves or burglars, you should install automatic and remote sensors. Along with these, make sure to install an alarm system that can be regulated remotely. With this, you can lock, unlock doors remotely, and get insights into your house.
